Biography

He was autochthon in the village Bara Pind Lohtian in the Shakargarh Tehsil of Gurdaspur District into unadulterated Punjabi Hindu Brahmin family. Potentate father's name is Pandit Krishan Gopal Sharma and mother's title is Shanti Devi.

He accomplished his matriculation in 1953 watch Panjab University.

On 5 Feb 1967, he married, Aruna,[5] smashing Brahmin girl from his stock caste. She is from Kiri Mangyal, Gurdaspur district, and adjacent the couple had two family, Meharban (1968) and Puja (1969).

The poem 'Main ek shikra yaar banaya' is in ethics Punjabi Language, the English transcription of this poem is very equally beautiful.[6] Shiv Kumar Batalvi's poems have been sung by way of famous singers such as Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan, Ghulam Calif, Jagjit Singh, Hans Raj Hans, and many others.

Death

After he returned foreigner his England tour in 1972, he developed liver cirrhosis. Batalvi died in Kiri Mangial by way of the early morning hours.
